Important Information

The house accommodates 8 guests with 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge. We have a King size bed in the master bedroom and 2 x Queen beds in the two other bedrooms. There are two large living areas and two fully equipped kitchens. When you book you have access to the whole house. Downstairs is fully contained so the house is ideal for one or two families.

Car Parking

You may park on the metal area or concreted area by the house. There is also parking on the concrete pad above the house. You can also park in the garage should you wish. There is also parking for a boat should you have one.

House Keys

You will be provided with a set of keys to access most areas of the house - front door, downstairs ranch sliders and the window key. The small grey window key opens all windows, and a button pops out. To lock up the windows, the button just needs to be pushed in.

Please ensure when you are leaving the house, that all the windows and doors are shut and locked.

Alarm Code

The alarm code for upstairs and downstairs will be provided, by Rachael, upon request should you want or need it. You only need to type in the 4 digit code to arm/disarm each level of the house, there is no need to push enter or return. You have around 30-45 seconds before the alarm sets, this give you enough time to get out of the house.

Wireless Internet

The password is on the uber modem/router which is the white box near the phone and TV (upstairs lounge). The WiFi is so strong that you can even stream movies, should you wish, whilst sunbathing down on Little Taupiri beach.

Televisions (TV)

We have SKY TV with access to Sports, Movies, Documentaries etc. There is a 55 inch in the upstairs lounge, a 32 inch in the master bedroom and a 42 inch in the downstairs lounge. Please click HERE for more information regarding how to use the TV’s located in the property.

Rapid Number

In case of emergency our Rapid Number is 1170. You may be asked this when calling emergency services.

Air Conditioning

Please use as required. Remote for the upstairs model is on the chocolate coloured sofa-bed or in one of the drawers of the kitchen island bench. The remote for downstairs is on the table, next to the phone.

Water

The water is safe to drink straight from the tap. There is a comprehensive filter system including UV so the water is very safe to drink from the tap.

Dish Washer

The thin cutlery tray is located at the very top of the machine and can be hard to find! The dishwashing capsules are located under the sink. Be sure to push the door in firmly before starting the appliance.

Fridge (upstairs)

It can make an occasional popping/cracking noise. The door can be temperamental so be sure to make sure it is properly closed, unfortunately it does not beep if left open.

Garage

As this is our residence for vacation, please be aware that there are personal items present. For your own safety please keep yourself, and any children, away from items that may cause harm.

Gym/Sporting equipment

Use equipment provided properly and at your own risk. We have a Pilates Reformer, Spinner (bike pictured), weight rack, Olympic weight set (located on the concrete pad) and dumbbells. We are not responsible for any injury you may suffer so please be careful.

When using the adult kayaks, please ensure you wear life-jackets. At the end, please wash the kayaks down, inside and out, using the hose. Please use the outside shower or hose to wash off any sand.

Washing Machine and Clothes Dryer

There are 2 washing machines and 2 clothes dyer available for use. The main washing machine is located in the garage. It DOES NOT need to have laundry detergent etc added as this will be added by the machine as along as you select the “Dos” option as per the instructions written on the machine itself. The washing machine located in the downstairs kitchen DOES require detergent added and this is located in the cupboard above the bench.

After using the clothes dryer, please remove lint. Water that has been removed from the load, needs to be emptied. The water container is found on the left of the machine, in the top front panel.

Bathrooms & Cleaning Supplies

Water is precious. Whilst we have 3 holding tanks, please stay mindful of this resource as we rely on rainwater to supply the house.

Bathroom Upstairs

In the bottom drawer, you will find a hair dryer. To use the lower shower head, use the middle lever (pull gently towards you). For the overhead, rain-shower experience, use the lever to the left. We also have an outside shower to use before hopping into the spa.

Bathroom Downstairs

For your bathing pleasure, we provide a shower unit and a deep bath. To fill the bath, use the levers on left to get correct temperature. By gently pulling the button (in the middle of the bath mixer unit), water will come out of the handset rather than the bath spout.

Spa Pool

We have a spa pool (hot tub) to relax in should you want a soak. In order to use the Spa Pool, guest must sign the usage agreement form. Please download HERE the form and email us the signed copy.

Cleaning Supplies

Dishcloths and dish-washing liquid are found underneath the kitchen cabinetry inside the island, under the sink. In the Garage, you will find a cordless Vacuum cleaner which is great for a quick vacuum. Downstairs, there is another vacuum cleaner (corded) found in the cupboard next to the room by the kitchen.

Rubbish/Refuse Removal

In the upstairs kitchen, on the right hand side of the island bench, we have a pull out rubbish unit. Please use the rubbish bags (supplied/included) for scraps and once fill, tie up and place inside the larger rubbish bag (bin) inside the garage.

Generator

We have a generator located in the garage that can be used during a power outage. The instructions on how to operate the generator are located in the welcome pack folder. The generator has been set up to run all house lights and key appliances including the fridge, internet and the automatic gate. Do not try and use the washing machine or the dryer whilst the generator is on. This will cause it to short out as the load will be too much for it.

Please remember to run the generator outside or if it is raining ensure the big garage door is wide open so air can circulate. Once the generator is switched on, you can open the garage door (see step 9 of the instructions HERE).

BBQs and Pizza Oven

We have 2 x BBQs (1 on upper deck and 1 on the concrete pad). The BBQ located on the deck is connected to our house gas so please ensure you turn it off after use. If you use the BBQ on the concrete pad, please ensure gas bottle is turned off after use.

We also have a Wood Pizza Oven. It is easy to light and cooks beautiful pizzas. Please do not cut down any trees to add to the fires. Some firewood is provided by the fire.
